RMac:SortPeriodTable;node 2 sort period table Floating point exception (core dumped)

In vbf_example_5.tcl I made the following change.

#set opt(mac) Mac/UnderwaterMac/BroadcastMac
set opt(mac) Mac/UnderwaterMac/RMac

while running the code, I got the following..

RMac:SortPeriodTable;node 2 sort period table
Floating point exception (core dumped)

Please help to solve this issue.

Thank you in advance.

No errors with a 64bits rpm based "Linux OS".
Code:
$ ns-aqua-64 RMac-vbf_example_5.tcl > RMac-vbf5.txt    (2.6MB text)
$ ns-aqua RMac-vbf_example_4-7n.tcl > RMac-vbf4-7.txt  (3.1MB text)
$ ns-aqua RMac-vbf_example_7.tcl > RMac-vbf7.txt       (36.3MB text)
The three text files with output are here ...

Your error : May be you are using Ubuntu ? Cygwin ?

Code:
Mac/UnderwaterMac/RMac::PhaseOne_cycle_ 3
Mac/UnderwaterMac/RMac::PhaseTwo_cycle_ 2
Mac/UnderwaterMac/RMac::IntervalPhase2Phase3_ 2
Mac/UnderwaterMac/RMac::transmission_time_error_ 1
"Floating point exception" :
Old ns2 code → Avoid the Ubuntu "libc6" → Use another OS.
Suggest CentOS 7 http://ftp.funet.fi/pub/mirrors/cent...7/isos/x86_64/
→ Netinstall 377MB http://ftp.funet.fi/pub/mirrors/cent...stall-1611.iso

Or CentOS 6 http://ftp.funet.fi/pub/mirrors/cent...64-LiveDVD.iso

CentOS 7 result with RMac-vbf_example_5.tcl

Thumbs up

Hi Knudfl,

I tried installing Aquasim in Centos 7 where I got struck while installing prerequisites (while installing I got mirror errors). I viewed other threads and tried installing centos-release-scl where I got the mirror errors again.

So I ended up installing Ubuntu 16.0.3 (64 bit) and aquasim is working fine without any core dump.

Thank you so much for the utmost support.
