ripperX problem

i cant get ripperX to work at all. it always says cdparanoia complains: but then its just blank. Sound-Juicer and Grip work fine so i dont think its permissions thing or anything. Thats the only error i get even if i run it from the command line, and it does the same thing if i run it as root. IM running Fedora Core 3, do you have to have scsi emulation enabled? i wouldnt think you would if grip and sound juicer work, but who knows. Grip is ok but i just like ripperX a lot better.

you could try scsi-emulation. you'll probably have to redo your '/dev/cdrom'-type links. I do remember having inconsistent performance with both grip and ripperx when i didn't use scsi-emulation.
