ripperx/grip no perm /cdrom

First of all I'd like to thank everybody to for their help.A search here starts to get better results than google.
Problem I have now is that ripperx and grip tell me that I can't access cdrom as user.Now the thing is that the user can use cdrom just fine for reading and writing data just not for audiocd's.

Are you using scsi emulation with an ide drive?

I had a similar problem until I specified the /dev/scd0 from the command line like:

$ grip -d /dev/scd0

and it works fine.
