RHEL4 and MySQL 4.1.20-1 How 2 Change DataDirectory

I'm running RHEL4 Update 2 with the mysql-server-4.1.20-1.RHEL4.1 package.
I'm trying to change the data directory to another drive and not having any luck.

I searched for an answer to this, no luck.

Can anyone point me to a thread for help?

Your installation probably includes a manual.pdf or in /usr/share somewhere.
Try "rpm -ql mysql" to find where your documentation is. You should be able to make your change by editing
/etc/my.cnf. It may use the dir address of the socket location if not given explicitly (based on grepping my my.cnf file). However for RHEL4, you may also need to reconfigure the Secure Linux access settings to enable musqld to write to your new location.
