RHEL 2.1 is a beefed up version of RH 7.1?

hi guys, I'd like to know whether it is true that RHEL 2.1 is a beefed up version of RH 7.2. I need a SCSI Adaptec driver which I cannot find for RHEL 2.1 but for RH 7.1/7.2

The drivers that work with RH 7.x should also work with RHEL... and probably a dozen other dsitributions as well..
