Has anyone tried to install RH9 with kernel 2.4.x on the following machine.

the Intelligent Platform Management Interface Version 1.5 (IPMIv1.5)

video signal to the optional RSA-2 SlimLine
· DDC2 ci monitor communications support

Power supply

· Up to three 775W, voltage sensing, hot-swap redundant power
supplies.

RAID support

· The ServeRAID 8i SAS Controller is a high-performance RAID

My company is looking at buying four of these machines but they have to work with our in house software which runs on RH9. I will appreciate any info you can give.

RedHat 9 is really old and was discontinued years ago. Surely, something that runs on RH9 should run on Fedora Core or RedHat Enterprise, if not other distros?
