Ok everything listed here worked I got the filesystem there, and I got all of the partitions correct. I got all of the data un tarred in the right spots. I edited the FSTAB, and grub files. But when I boot the new HD it is recogized, then the screen just goes to a blinking cursor. I somehow feel that a step has been left out. I am not sure what might have been missed.
