RH7.2 HD Install but without ISO

I have downloaded the RH7.2 OS from Redhat (so I have the directories rather than the IOS files.)
For a HD install the installer asks for the ISO files.
I need to copy the files to CD to install - but which RPMS go on which disk - does anyone know the file listing for these CDs?

I believe the info is stored in hdlist and hdlist2 but I haven't found away to view these in any way that makes sense.

I would download the ISOs instead but it's a little painful over a 56k link!!

Any help gratefully received.

TIA
GeeTee

Welcome to LQ.

I'm sorry to be the bearer of possibly bad news, but the individual files availble over ftp are for installation by ftp. You can download a few files (floppy boot-disks, and the like) which will then install the rest directly from the ftp site. I would not advise this with 56k dial-up.

Even if you burn all the files to a CD, there will be special files (called links/symlinks) that Windows can't see/read, and the fact the certainly CD #1 is bootable, mean that it wouldn't work. The links/symlinks are similar to Windows' shortcuts, but much more advanced (and also much more useful).

I'm affraid if you wanna install RH7.2, you're gonna have to either download the ISO file(s), find a friend with a nice speedy connection to download/burn them for you, or pay a small price and buy them.
