RH 9.0 giFT - Kazza


Hi
i download the lates giFT sources , i have compiled it
as root without problems ,then i run giFT -setup and i set
default configuration (i always press <enter> ) then when i
try to run giFT it report that setup wasnt been configured ,but in
~home/... exist gift.conf file ....

you have to edit the gift.conf file. Or rerun the setup and actually _read_ what it says. You need to replace an option with either 1 or 0,.

Lets see.....


....this is the option:

setup = 1


set it to 1 so that gift knows you've setup your config file.

See, that's the problem. You didn't take the time to read. It isn't windows, you know, where you can just click next all the time without reading.

If you would have read carefully, you would have seen something like: "Please change this value to non-zero, to make sure you have actually gone through the setup".

Sometimes you get this asked a few times, to make sure you're actually still reading.
