RH 7.2 instalation minor problems ...
hi. Im trying to install RH 7.2 on my laptop, having two problems :

1. I want linux to have access to my XP partition. It was very easy to do in RH 7.0 instalation - I just had to define a 'mount point' to this partition when manually partitioning with the disk druid... but couldnt do it here cause it says the partition is "not applicable".
it only gives me the possibility to format 'this partition (NO GOOD!!!!).

2. In the last version I had to define a "Linux native" partition for the root partition. Does "ext3" replace this definition ???? cause I couldnt find "linux native"on the partition type list....

Thanks !!!!!

yes, use ext3, that's the right one. you could use reiserfs alternatively if you want to be picky about it...

if XP is on NTFS then it won't let you specify a mountpoint, cos NTFS isn't supported properly on linux. if it is still fat32, then you can easily edit the /etc/fstab file manually, without worry.

a line like

/dev/hda1 /mnt/windows vfat defaults 0 0

will do fine
