Reuse 32-bit home directory in 64-bit system

I have a 32-bit MX-19 on 64-bit hardware. I am trying to upgrade the OS to a 64-bit system that is very like my 32-bit one.

Thanks.

I don't think I understand your question. Directories don't change when migrating from 32- to 64-bit, except the libraries go in lib64 instead of lib. Home directories stay the same.

I guess to be safe you could backup that partition. By the time you play with the advanced installer and do this and that I think you could just copy your old data back on.

Okay. I will upgrade then if I can preserve that home directory.
Thanks for the reassurance.
