restoring my mouse....

hey there again !!

im running drake 9.

I have two mice connected, a generic ps2 with scrollie, and a m$ potical wireless blue, ( usb ).

My m$ mouse doesnt work, so I loaded up drake control center, and changed the mouse to usb. nothing happens, so I reboot, agh, no working moue. I figure, it has forgotten my ps2 mouse, and is trying to talk to my m$ one, and cant.

I tried putting the drake instal cd in, and doing an ' upgrade ' figuring this may reinstal the mouse drivers, that doesnt work. Ive tried re-running xf86config, that doesnt work.

The mouse works, because I can use it while instaling drake 9, and in windows.

hope you solve this problem as quick as you did my last. - cheers !!

hmmm...when you ran xf86config did you take the M$ mouse out? I would try removing the M$ mouse and then running:

XFree86 -configure

then try:

XFree86 -xf86config /root/

See if that does the job.

I solved it in the end, but by rather a crude method, I reinstaled drake !! ohwell, thanks for the help none-the-less.
