restore old email automatically (server side pst file)

I use postfix as mail server and outlook as client. Everytime the network is done or sth wrong with server and need a reboot, i had to go thro all computer to recover their lost old email coz micorsoft recreate a new *.pst file locally on their machine.

I wonder is there a way to automate the process so i don't have to manually reassign the correct pst file (which reside on linux server in order to include in backups)? Maybe script on linux server(no clue how it can be done) or sth can be done on outlook?

Thanks in advance.
