respawning too fast: disable for 5 minutes

Hello Everybody,

I have Yellow Dog 6.1 installed onto my Sony PS3.

Linux seized up so I restartetd the PS3.
It will not re-boot it stops and says "respawning too fast: disable for 5 minutes"
It just keeps repeating this every 5 minutes.

What have I done?

I need help!

Thank you

Posting the full error message would give a better picture. Try looking at this thread, perhaps the suggestions in that post might help. http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...minutes-48167/

Sorry for posting on two threads,i'm new and I'm close to panic mode.

Linux won't let me in and because of that I can't open my playstation 3 OS.

I restart PS3 and Yellow Dog 6.1 Linux is rebooting just fine and then the screen turns black and it says:

INIT:Id "x" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes
this repeats every 5 minutes.

The cursor just blinks and will not let me type anything

I'm desperate.
I don't know what to do?
I need help.
I tried the link that was povided, but this doesn't seem like the same problem.

Thanks
