Resolution Auto-Selection

Something came to my mind as the WINE ultility continued to disapoint me. My image on the begining of each program started with wine, does not apear in full screen. I am asuming this is because I have my XF86Config-4 file setup with ONLY:

Section "Monitor"
Identifier "Monitor0"
HorizSync 31.5-60
VertRefresh 60-75
Modeline "1024x768@75hz" 137.65 1152 1184 1312 1536 864 866 885 902 -HSync -VSync

I am pondering if I add more Modelines with lower resolutions, would this resolve the problem? Keep in mind, I do use the "--display" switch, but no changes take effect.
