Reresh CD-ROM contents during Diablo II (Wine) install

I am trying to install Diablo II via Wine, but when it wants me to swap CD's it won't recognize the new one in the drive. I can't unmount/remount the drive because it is reported as "busy". The files on the second CD won't appear in the Konsole or in Konqueror until I remount the drive.

Is there any way I can either get the CD contents to refresh without unmounting the drive, or perform some kind of brute-force unmount despite the drive being "busy"?

umount -l will unmount the drive, but it still refuses to see the files on the next CD when I remount while the installer is still running.
