Replicant 6.0 on a Galaxy Note 8.0 Stuck in Recovery mode. How do I get out?

I recently tried to install Replicant 6.0 on a Galaxy Note 8.0 (N1150), and I followed the instructions below:
https://redmine.replicant.us/project...xxInstallation

It was all going well, up until after I flashed the recovery file.

I had planned on using ADB to install Replicant from my computer, but it doesn't recognize the device when I try. If I try "adb devices" I get back "List of devices attached" followed by a blank line.

Anyone know how I can finish the installation? Rebooting the device takes me back to the Replicant recovery screen.

Thanks!

I'm a version back on the phone (Galaxy S7 Edge here).

My initial reaction is to hurl abuse at you, and call you a great steaming twit, but I imagine you're doing that already. Your Note 8 would have been under warranty, but you have buggered that up. You're dropping back a few versions of the Android OS, and unless you got a version released for the Note 8, some essentials may be missing their drivers. Can you get into it with adb? Have you a backup on Google Drive? Have you a Nandroid backup? Please don't tell me there's no backup. Is there an OS update or reinstall you can get?

I eventually managed to fix it. I rooted the device and installed the Replicant 6.0 .zip file from a microSD card. The insults were uncalled for.

Sorry, I didn't intend insults, and apologize if my comments were taken that way.

I should have said that I felt rooting such a new phone was unwise. Glad you're sorted.

I was shocked that it worked at all. Didn't think it would ever work.
