Removing fonts in Open Office

The simple question: How do I go about removing fonts from Open Office?

Background: I have been using OO in Windows for about the last two or three years. I recently (about a month ago) installed Linux on my machine and have kept using the OO writer. The problem I have is that there are way too many fonts for my liking. I want to get rid of some (most). I think I have found where the fonts live (/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/) but I don't really know how to go about getting rid of the undesireables. Any ideas?

In my OOffice installation there is a tool called spadmin.bin with a link to it called spadmin. Both are found in my installation directory /opt/OpenOffice.org/program. If you start it as root, you can setup your printer and the fonts for OpenOffice.

Cheers,
