removing binaries


I can't find any information on how to uninstall a binary version of software on my box
is there anyone who knows

is there a "unmake install command"
or
if i go thru and remove all the directories it installed
will that uninstall it or what?

how do I get rid of it?

please someone

If the program was installed using 'make install', you can remove it using 'make uninstall'.

thank you
it left the files there for me to clean up
but it it quit whineing about multiple backends installed in sane

me and my Epson Stylus CX3200
are in your debt
and I'm soooooo glad I didn't have to do that
"create scanner.o" thing on linuxprinting.org
