Remove program which installed by source code


I've installed openssl on linux Suse 8.2

tar -xvzf openssl-0.9.7b.tar.gz
./config --prefix=/usr/local/openssl
make test
make install

how to deinstall it now ?

I didn't find command unsinstall.

Use "make uninstall" in the directory you made the "make install".

Remeber, this removes your app, use with care....

I tried already, but "make uninstall" does not work.

you could try checkinstall
