Remote desktop software to control desktop GUI?
Just curious to see if anyone knows of a product would allow a remote connection and will display the desktop (:0) to the system connecting to it. As an example, I use VNC currently for Linux and Windows systems. On the Windows systems, I can start up applications while working on them directly, then later on I can check up on them via VNC to check and see that everything is still running. However, in Linux, VNC starts it's own display session (usually :1), meaning anything I have to run while working on the system in a window will not show up when I connect to it via VNC. I run a lot of scripts and such on these systems, and VNC saves a lot of time when I can just check up on systems remotely. Currently, the primary distro I'm running is Fedora, but I still have a few systems on RH9 and a coulple on RHES 3. So, if there is another app that would allow me to control the primary X session, I'd love to hear about it.
Thanks.
