Remote desktop
Hi,
I am setting up a Fedora Server for a client, and would like to find out if there is a remote desktop type app that i could use... I am very new with fedora so may ask stupid questions.. i want something similar to the win2k remote desktop that i used to use for managing servers hosted elsewhere..
Thanks
Glenn

Look at FreeNX. It's one of a hundred different ones, but I like it.

VNC and all its forks, plus if you are using KDE instead of Gnome you can use the built in remote desktop function.

or just use x11vnc -many and that will do it too, but he will have had to of setup the x11vnc from the FC workstation PRIOR to leaving it, or get someone how can touch the box to set it up for him.

Deffinately go with NX. It is fast....very fast. It is even faster than citrix. You can set it up to use whatever wm you like on the fly from the client. Like I said it is extremely fast....very good speed even if you are using a 56k connection.
