remote app launcher

Dear all.

I'm looking for any program that can launch remote X-apps.

Here is my current situation to run remote X-apps.
* From my desktop GUI, I have to launch a terminal
* xhost +theserver
* ssh theserver, login with user/password.
* export DISPLAY=mydesktop:0
* call the X-app (openoffice, gimp, anything)
-> The app will appear on my desktop but run remotelly in the server

I want to have a small panel with Icons in my desktop that can launch the remote apps.
If possible, without have to enter user/password each time.

Any idea.
Thanks.
