Post Relocation error????

I tried to install a new game for linux today: Simcity 300

This was done by activating a setup (sh setup.sh).

During the install everything went great and at the end I got the message that everything was installed and ready to go.

When I then try to run the game by launching it from a terminal I get this:

sc3u: relocation error: sc3u: symbol _dl_global_scope, version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file ld-linux.so.2 with link time reference

Any ideas? I don't really understand it.

I had the same problem last night. It has to do with the newer version of glibc not being compatable with older versions. I'm wondering if it would work if you got the an older version of this file /lib/ld-2.3.2.so and set a link to it here /lib/ld-linux.so.2

If it didn't work, all you'd have to do is reset the link back to /lib/ld-2.3.2.so

Any ideas or suggestions? I've got the same problem.

(The file ld-linux.so.2 is only a link to /lib/ld-2.3.2.so)
