Refresh rate with Damn Small Linux

Hi

ive just installed Damn Small Linux, and everything's working well except one thing...

I cant get the refresh rate to 60hz.

I have a TFT monitor, which user 1280x1024 @ 60hz. I have got the resolution up to 1280x1024, but its stuck at 85hz. Also, while it is booting, it is at 75h. Anything above 60hz and i get "input not supported"

I can work with it, because i have an old crt which can support 1280x1024@85, but its a choice between either getting it to run at 60hz all the time (both during boot up, and while the systems running), or losing DSL completely.

If anyone could help i'd be extremely grateful
