Arrow REDHAT-PHP-MySql

Just installed the Redhat 8.0 distro.
Setup Apache (2.0.?)+php (4.2.2) are OK

Mysql giving me this answer:
"cannot load MySQL extension, please check PHP Configuration".

MySql should be included in PHP (4.2.2.) ?

Does anyone out there have an idea of whats going on?

You would think it would be installed by default.

Uninstall the php RPM and then reinstall it from source using the '--with-mysql' option.

I had the same exact problem. what i did was following.. and have no idea how it worked.. but it works.

Downloaded newest source for apache/php and did install
downloaded rpm for mysql and did rpm install

things just seem to work after.. ofcourse i tried to do mysql from source but was having too hard of a time.

Note: you should remove old installation and rpms for each product if things don't work.. cuz i ended up doing it and have no idea if that helped.
