Dear Friends,

I have install

Redhat Linux 9 (complete) but it seem some configuration is needed for apache to work with PHP & MySQL.

If any one can guide me pls guide.

I had to compile apache on its own to get RH8 to work with php and mysql. the default install with apache and rh8 didn't do it.

try the readme files, man pages and help files.

I would love to be able to help but I am just not sure where to start. What is not working?

do this

rpm -qa | grep php

and you should have this

php-imap
php-idap
php
php-mysql

if not installed them

I am having a similar problem with Mandrake.

I have php and php-mysql installed.

I have the test.php page working properly.

I cannot load any pages with mysql statements in them.... it gives error;

"the prerequisite MySQL support required to read the database was not built into PHP. "

Can anyone help? Thanks in advance for any advice.
