RedHat Enterprise. How to go from V3 Update 1 to V3 Update 3?

Hi, what's the conventional method of upgrading a RH Enterprise Version 3 Update 1 -> RH Enterprise Version 3 Update 3?

I was hoping to be able to do it networked such as kickstart somehow. I'd hate to do it via CD upgrade of some sort.

Any info will be much appreciated.

I did a rpm -Uvh *.rpm in the RPMS dir of the V3 update 3 dir, and it seemed to process successfully, however, i don't see the rpm's in the rpm db as updated.

No No No , dont go for the rpm -Uvh command, go for rpm -ivh for a new kernel installation, then put this new kernel into your grub.conf file.

This is the redhat-approved way and you are hearing this of an RHCE .

The best way to upgrade one Redhat release to another is to download the redhat-release rpm for the new release, install that and then do a yum update.
