Redhat cluster 7 on rhel 7.1 help
I'm new to RedHat cluster 7 on RHEL 7.1, I have knowledge of AIX HACMP powerHA.
Please, can someone advise on the best practice to setup a HA mutual takeover using RedHat 7.1.
This is our scenario:
We want a 2 node Cluster setup which consists of a DB2 RG and APP RG. The DB will be setup on a SAN disk on one node (node1) and app RG will be setup on the other node (node2).
I would like to setup HA cluster so that the services/RG can do a mutual takeover from one node to another in an event of a failure.
Please can you advise what is the best method in setting this up? Also which OS is this more simple to setup on, v6 or v7? Has anyone setup RedHat 7.1 and what method was used for a mutual takeover cluster setup?
Thanks,
Kets

Since you're using Red Hat Enterprise, the best people to call would be Red Hat support, since you're PAYING FOR RHEL, RIGHT??? They also have extensive guides on how to set up clustering, with examples, on their knowledgebase...have you looked there?

kpnuts
have you read through the redhat cluster administration guides ?
if so what part are you stuck on
https://access.redhat.com/documentat...erprise-linux/
put a check on "clustering" on the left bottom
for the documentation
i second the redhat knowledgebase
but you have to login to the redhat site with the credentials you set up with the license
use the search box on the redhat site

..and we're back to "have you contacted RHEL support, or tried to look this up?" The VERY FIRST HIT in Google for "configure stonith on rhel 7" is:
https://access.redhat.com/documentat...cing-HAAR.html
We can help you with SPECIFIC questions, but we can't read or understand the documentation for you. If you don't tell us what you're confused with, there's little we can help with. Read the "Question Guidelines" link in my posting signature.
