redhat 8.0(dvd) asking for (cd)disk1
hi
I'm trying to install gcc. I have publisher's edition Redhat 8.0 DVD The DVD player in the machine is long gone(cd-rw now), so I 'smbmount'ed a network dvd to /mnt/cdrom, which is fine, I can see all the rpms. But when I use package manager or go to install a rpm directly the system asks for Disk1 of the five disk set. Message: ' "Psyche 8.0" disk 1 needed to install packages' How can I make redhat believe that all the stuff is there... mounted on /mnt/cdrom? ta |
if you are trying to directly run "rpm -Uvh /mnt/smb/blah.rpm" for example there is no way that it can ask for other disks and such like.
