Question Redhat 7.1 and winme lilo


ok first off i have 2 physical drives winme is on the "c:" drive and i had redhat working on the "d:" drive...anyway after a few hardware tweeks i somehow managed to fry the linux install...so after trying several times to get linux back i always get the same error at the end of the install.. something about not beeing able to find /dev/hda1 i want lilo to have the mbr on the c drive but it doesnt seem to be able to find it...what gives

ok so i get through the install fine now....this is the error i get now

Loading linux...............................
ERROR 0x01

pls help......

by any chance do you have that silly boot sector bios anti-virus thing on if not use your boot disk and check your /etc/lilo.conf file to see that the boot line says
boot=/dev/hda
if it does then just run lilo -v as root and it should place it on the mbr of your first drive
