RedHat 6.2 Installation Problem

I hope someone can help me with this.

I have a box that will boot from a RH7.0 disk without a problem and install it... and not have ANY problem what so ever...

But I am working with a company that uses RH6.2. So I am attempting to downgrade.

When I try to boot off ANY RH6.2 CD (I have 3 different ones) it will seem to locate the CD and try to boot from it but then it just hangs.

Has anyone seen this? Please let me know if you guys have any suggestions.

Sounds like your hardware may be newer than what the RH61 disco wants to play with.

Post some vital stats like drive controller, video card, motherboard.

Have you tried to get a text-only install? (I don't know how to do this in RH

)

No, I can't say that I have. But it doesn't even let me get to that point.
