red5 security plugin installation

I'm running red5-1.0.3 on centos 6 64bit, command line only.
can anyone guide me in how to install the red5 security plugin? I got the plugin from here https://github.com/Red5/red5-plugins, I unzipped it and ran maven and it seemed to go ok, I ended up with a load of folders but I'm scratching my head as to where one goes from here regarding how its installed and configured.
Before you say, I did try at the google red 5 forum but the help there is really thin and I'm getting nowhere with that. Thanks for any help.
