Red Hat - Text to Speach Converter - Command Line Tool

Hi Guys

I'm looking for a text to speech converter program
that can be executed from the command line (ie. Not Xwindows).

I've had a good look at the www.
Most of the links I've found are dead-ends.

Anyone seen one ?

Regards

Chris

If anyone is interested try espeak
There is also an implementation for MS Windows XP which can be used from the command shell.

I found a simple one called text2wave. I am not sure if it cames with the redhat or
one of my installed software. just search your desktop if you find it

Thanks

A quick Google search revealed that text2wave is part of Festival.
I'm not using Festival, because it puts too much overhead on the target platform I'm using
(low end PIII machine).

Thanks for the suggestion though.

Chris
