Red Hat Alert Notification Tool

At the top right part of my monitor (left of the clock), there is an icon for "Red Hat Alert Notification Tool" and the icon has a "?" for the picture, even though it should usually have a check mark. When I double click the icon, it comes up with an error saying:
"Error: <ProtocolError for /APPLET: 502 Proxy Error>"

My Computer is connected to the internet and works, but it is not connected through a proxy server.

Then when I click "OK", the icon changes to a check mark for a couple of seconds and then changes back. Thanks guys! Kaleb
