Question Red Hat 9 - GNOME Panel freezes on log off

I'm a Linux , I just installed Red Hat 9 onto a clean 40 gb HDD. Everything seems to be working fine, except it's impossible to log out of GNOME. When I try to log out from the panel, nothing happens, and the panel freezes up. I can restart the panel by using the task manager, but it will just do the same thing, the only way to log out is to force quit GNOME from the task manager.

I haven't changed any settings, except for a little bit of network fussing (which I did after this first happened).

You don't have to post in more then one forum. The rules are clear:

http://www.linuxquestions.org/rules.php

Try logging out from X pressing simultaneously ctrl + alt + backspace and see if that helps. If not, try deleting all ./gnome entries located at your /home/user directory. Nautilus is quite buggy and may give random problems as the one you are having

Sorry for the multiple posts.

It was just a random bug, . Hasn't happened since.
