red hat 9.0 on pressario

this is something new!!! i have a compaq pressario 2100 AMD 2200 m XP+ ,now when i try to install redhat 8.0 or 9.0 ,the screen where it comes the option if u want to check ur CD or not comes...from there the keyboard doesnt work at all n i cant go ahead with the installation..i mean its not the problem with the keyboard..coz if i press the caps lock key it lights up...now i just cannot use the keyboard ...how do i get about this problem? its not the problem with linux 2 coz mandrk9.1 n knoppix work fine!help!

that's a problem with usb..

you have to start the instalation with "linux nousb"

thanks! it seems to be working....it installed perfectly the only problem now is it fails to detect my Display,n theres no option to choose it manually so after startx it gives a fatal error in X n i cant load the desktop,also the command Xconfigurator or Xconfig or Xconf etc. dont work in both RH 8.0 n 9.0

,so im using mandrake 9.1 for now.anyway thnx for ur help!
