rebuilding a drive kicked from RAID1 array

so i have a software RAID-1 array md0 using hde and hdg
when the array is started (not with mdadm) the logs show:

Feb 12 22:12:33 gigantor md: kicking non-fresh hde from array!

but hde is present and seems like its not a dead drive
md0 is up and all data is ok.
i just want to force hde to be remirrored from hdg.
if possible. thanks in advance.

[SOLVED] : why i dont post on LQ much anymore

well i've answered my own question again.
i needed just to use 'raidhotadd' to rebuild the mirror

on a side note..

when i was new to linux LQ was an amazing resource that i relied on heavily and got me through all the buggery
and helped me to use and love linux as a great alternative to comercial OS's
One of the most valuble things i learned from the pool of folks who love to help is:
most of the answers are on my system in the man pages.
in any case a huge thanks again to LQ and manpages.
