RealVNC on FC 3

I installed realVNC on my linux box which runs FC3. But I am having problems starting the GUI, I can connect to the box using realVNC and i can get an Xterm screen, but from xterm i can't start GUI, maybe i don't know how to start it, i tried KDM, XMD, GDM (which says is already running), KDE, STARTX(which says that X is started on display 0). I am connected to my box on display 3. Once I figured out how to start the GUI, but it was on tightVNC and long time ago. Commands don't seem to work that well now. Do you guys have any suggestions? and here is the exact output of the startx command in xterm. Thanks a lot for your help.

========================================
[root@HOSTNAME ~]# startx
hostname: Unknown host

Fatal server error:
Server is already active for display 0
If this server is no longer running, remove /tmp/.X0-lock
and start again.

Please consult the The X.Org Foundation support
at http://wiki.X.Org
for help.

Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Xlib: Invalid MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 key
giving up.
xinit: unable to connect to X server
xinit: No such process (errno 3): Server error.

OK. Let's clarify:

1) You typed the command 'startx' in one of those xterm inside the RealVnc Viewer. Is it correct?

2) When you says 'start GUI' you means to start a window system such as KDE which has the taskbar and other GUI candies, not the one you are seeing right now(grey background, vertical window menu on right mouse click), right?

If both are positive, then

1) The error message is expected. X11 is already started (because your runlevel is 5, perhaps) So X11 cannot be started again

2)If you want to use KDE instead of the default window manager, then you should change ~/.vnc/xstartup.

Change the line, e.g. startxfce4 to startkde
