RealVNC auto startup / Ubuntu 14.04

I made the switch from Windows to Linux yesterday, having used Linux on and off for a long time then getting two RPI's and using some (server) distros I found out how much more versatile and fun Linux is.

However I have been unable to get realvnc working in the way that I need it, I access my pc from work and I do not use the standard port (5900/590*) I use 8900
I am using gnome not unity if that makes any difference, any help is apreciated as of now I must login to start realvnc to the logout to access from work.
