Unhappy realplayer not working in rh9

I downloaded realplayer RPM from

I have Redhat 9.0 installed and P4 CPU. So I choose OS: linux 2.x (libc6 i386) RPM and CPU: Pentium.

I installed this rpm without any error message, but when I type command 'realplay' as root, it gives me 'segmentation faults' error.

Does someone know how to solve this problem?

Thanks in advance,

try this...

you can also easily set up mplayer to use the existing realplayer install to add realmedia capabilities to the best linux media player by far.

I'm having the same issues with RealPlayer vs. RedHat 9.

kewpie, although the above .bin works for playing realplayer media, it looks like it doesn't install the plugin.

Does anyone know where we can get a working RealPlayer w/ Plugin?

I tried the above .bin installation, but this installation file doesn't like me.

The installation stopped and print 'segmentation fault' during the installation.

Any idea? How did you install realplayer into rh9?

I tried the above .bin installation. It seems the installation went came up and played the audio sample after installation. But now when I click on a clip in the web, and I choose RealPlayer as my player, I get the message that I don't have the appropriate plug-ins.

Does anyone know what I have to do?
