Really strange behavior from tor cannot be used

I posted an earlier thread regarding the installation of tor. Now I have more trouble in actually using the software.

The Tor process seems to start automatically when booting the system. Here is a snippet of the last portion of pstree

Code:
        ├─tor
        ├─udisksd─┬─{cleanup}
        │         ├─{gdbus}
        │         ├─{gmain}
        │         └─{probing-thread}
        ├─upowerd─┬─{gdbus}
        │         └─{gmain}
        ├─whoopsie─┬─{gdbus}
        │          └─{gmain}
        └─wpa_supplicant
On top of this peculiarity the tor command does not start the browser even after the process is killed then reinitiated.

i'm not sure why you are showing us the tree, with many unrelated processes.

do you want to use tor, or just the tor browser?

if the latter, i always found the tor-browser-bundle to work well & straight ootb.
also tor can be started as required, and not at system boot.

maybe you need to provide more info, how you installed, how you configured, how you're starting, and what the desired outcome is.
