Really quiet boot loader
Hi, I am looking for completely quiet bootloader.
Currently I use syslinux on my machine, and i am preety satisfied with that because there's only 2 lines of text durig boot. I would like to have completely quiet boot (no text) in my raspberry pi project. Could you tell me is there any bootloader that i can configure to do that? I use archlinux ARM without any encryption nor any custom kernel settings. I considered using syslinux, grub and LILO, could you tell me if any of these can be configured to get rid of text completely? Maybe there's some alternative program i may use? Thank you for your help, best wishes. |
It's not really the bootloader who is outputing text at boot, they are kernel and system init messages
Check this last post for quiet boot: https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/v...13807&p=153177 |
Hmmm - the only times I boot my pi3, I really want to see the messages.
ARM doesn't use the "normal" bootloaders. And of course Arch uses systemd. Perhaps you should just look away. |
Thank you for replies. Indeed, i recognised the problem wrong. I will find the way to configure kernel with "quiet splash", that will solve the problem surely.
