Real Player shuts down...

Hello

I have just installed Real Player 10, and I can open it fine.

When I try to play a song with it, it pauses for maybe a second or two and then shuts down.

How can I fix this?

Thanks

Hong

The best way to trouble shoot these probs is to launch from a shell and it will give you a termination message when it exits. Post that back here when that happens.

Thanks, thats handy to know.

It just says:

/usr/bin/realplay: line 75: 3697 Floating point exception$REALPLAYBIN "$@"

Floating point exception...sounds a bit vague to me but hopefully you guys know what to do!!

Thanks

Hong

I think its a codec problem - try switching sound support to ALSA. Not sure how to do this in Knoppix but play around with it.

Ahhh, no sorry dude. It wont be in realplayer pref's, I mean in Knoppix's overall sound config.
