Real Player and RH9

I'm having trouble to make Real Player to work on Red Hat.
On the page http://proforma.real.com/real/player...814rpchoice_c1
What OS I should choose for Red Hat 9? Linux 2.x lib6 i386 or Linux 2.x lib6 i386 RPM ?

Thanks

I chose the rpm and I have it working quite nicely now with mandrake 9.1
It works great with konqueror web browser, still have not got it working with mozilla or netscape. It also works great as a stand alone.
What problems are you having?
Maybee I can help.

Real Player is not working on my Red Hat 9.0 at all (not with Konqueror, Mozilla or Netscape). I even tried to download .rm file and open from KDE. I don't see the Real Player at all in the "Sound & Video" section. I used to install Real Player on Red Hat 7.3 with no problems.

Is anyone here that successfully installed Real Player 9 on Red Hat9 ?

Thanks

I have not yet been able to get the RPM file to install with a runable Real Player 8 on Red Hat 9...much less as a plugin. I know how to put the .so file over into the Mozilla plugin folder.

The problem is this...

The RPM file installs just fine by cutting and pasting the posted command lines from the download site.

The RPM even runs to completion...apparently, so that subsequent tries to reinstall will abort saying that the program is already installed...the problem is that subsequently, the program file refuses to start.

I can open a terminal and surf over there and double click the program file, but it just can't run.

I get an error that says something about not being able to locate child program or something like that.

At least I know how to use Yum to locate the player and then run Yum remove to get the useless thing back out of my system!!!
