I installed Real Player 8 in Mandrake 9.2 which worked fine with Mozilla but not Mozilla Firebird. So I tried to uninstall it. It was installed from a .bin file so I wasn't sure the best way to do it but I removed all the RP8 directories and a few other files to do with MIME types that it had spread aroudn the place.

Now I try and reinstall it using an RPM and LInux says it's already installed. If I try and uninstall it LInux says that it's not installed. What's going on?

Also, I've seen the REalOne Linux player for download but now can't find the link..any ideas?

tif it insists it's installed try

rpm -e RealPlayer

It's OK. rpmdrake's sorted it
