Real Player 8
I installed Real Player 8 in Mandrake 9.2 which worked fine with Mozilla but not Mozilla Firebird. So I tried to uninstall it. It was installed from a .bin file so I wasn't sure the best way to do it but I removed all the RP8 directories and a few other files to do with MIME types that it had spread aroudn the place.
Now I try and reinstall it using an RPM and LInux says it's already installed. If I try and uninstall it LInux says that it's not installed. What's going on? Also, I've seen the REalOne Linux player for download but now can't find the link..any ideas? cheers [al@localhost al]$ rpm -i rp8.linux20.libc6.i386.cs2.rpm error: cannot open Packages index using db3 - Operation not permitted (1) error: cannot open Packages database in /var/lib/rpm [al@localhost al]$ su Password: [root@localhost al]# rpm -i rp8.linux20.libc6.i386.cs2.rpm package RealPlayer-8.0-1 is already installed [root@localhost al]# rpm -e rp8.linux20.libc6.i386.cs2.rpm error: package rp8.linux20.libc6.i386.cs2.rpm is not installed |
