ready to weep: new server, install works, boot fails

Hey folks, I just got a brand new server. I'm new to Linux ( :newbie: ), have the RedHat 7.1 Dlx Workstation edition.

Server:
PIII 933 MHz
256 MB SDRAM
Asus CUV4X-D Dual socket 370 motherboard with Apollo Pro133A chipset.
Quantum Fireball HDD
ATI Xpert 98 video
Had a sound card, network card and modem, but I removed them.

The server install works fine, but the server boots to LILO, then after the second screen, starts scrolling gibberish. The gibberish is systematic though, looks like [<Fe2938sd283>] but the stuff inside the brackets is variable.

I tried the noapic thing and that didn't work

Please help! I'd jump off a bridge but I'm on the prairies and they don't have anthing over 10 feet high out here!!!

I just replaced the motherboard and now everything works great.

Just out of curiousity - did you replace the mobo with a different model or the same?
