There's the solution:
http://www.layton-graphics.com/mtf/mtf-0.2.1.tgz
I's a MTF (Microsoft Tape Format) tool (commandline only), that is
able to READ NT-BackupTapes. But only if there is NO password given.
Also spanned tapes (multiple broken tapes) are NOT supported.
Simply do the following:
------------------ cut here ------------------
tar -xzf mtf-0.2.1.tgz
------------------ cut here ------------------
or (if you receive errors because of the "z"):
------------------ cut here ------------------
gzip -dc mtf-0.2.1.tgz|tar -xf -
------------------ cut here ------------------
followed by:
------------------ cut here ------------------
cd mtf-0.2.1
make
cp mtf /usr/bin/.
------------------ cut here ------------------
Then simply type "mtf" in your favorite shell and use the following
parameters:
------------------ cut here ------------------
Usage: mtf [options] [pattern(s)]
-v verbose
-V very verbose
-D debug
-l list contents
-b bytes tape block size
-d device device to read from
-s set number of data set to read
-u user assign owner to all files/directories written
-g group assign group to all files/directories written
-c [lower|upper] force the case of paths
-o path root path to write files to
-F bytes[K|M] maintain minimum free space of bytes;
a K or M suffix signifies kilobytes or megabytes
pattern(s) only read file paths that match regex pattern(s)
------------------ cut here ------------------
This tool is very OLD, but works fine for me - if anyone found another
not that outdated tool - please let me know!
Hope that helps...
btw: sorry for the delay - but I subscribed the board right before... ;-)
cheers,
