reading ms word on linux


Hai all

this is srinath.M

i am new to linux yaar plse help to me

i am tring to read ms word document data and insert that data into a table field
on linux COM support is not there

i got one script in php for this but it extracting data without formatting and header

how can i get data with formating and header in php on linux

please anyone have solution tell me

And we're going to need some useful information, before you can get any help. What version/distro of Linux, and what version of PHP??

There is lots of info on Google. Your best bet, IMHO, would be to use OpenOffice from the command-line, to convert it to a 'plain' format, and read it in there. OpenOffice even comes with an API....
